Clogued My Brain Up

Well as the Post Title accurately says. My brain is eClogued up. However I do find that this half of the book is a bit easier to read through than the last. The themes seemed more apparent and easier to follow which helped hold my interest. Finishing the book though leaves me questioning a few things. The first is why choose this book? I feel like I missed something. I am not saying that the author is a bad writer by any means. However I can only assume that JD chose this book for a specific reason. * Do professors pick the books?* If she reads this maybe she could answer that for me =D

One of the poems that really caught my interest in the second half of CIty Eclogue was titled "Simple As One Two". The poem questions the need to fake being sick from work in order to get some personal time. This poem really hit home for me as I feel that I am currently in the busiest semester of my life. Between my two jobs and taking too many classes I feel overwhelmed. Sometimes it even comes down to if we are not doing anything in class that will cost me points and I can make up somewhere else then I need to be at work in order to help my family. So after reading this the need to almost lie for personal time really got me thinking. Its almost wrong that you should have to do this , but then again it just seems as though there is never enough hours in the day.

Another poem that was easier for me to understand was Escape Training , which can be found on pages 121 and 122. It was a pretty easy read and seemed to be almost the most straight forward poem in the entire book. This is probably because it is written a lot like a short story. There was also dramatic pauses in the poem that I felt did a lot to emphasize the  imagery.
