Goldbergs Word of Wisdom

Reading through the Goldberg packet again I realized how much I could, would, should be doing for my writing. Its not that I don't take it seriously. Its more of the fact that I simply do not have the time for it. There is so much stuff that Goldberg talks about doing. The entire excerpt is filled with various exercises to try, and I realize some of these are meant to be done on a short time schedule. However I barely am able to squeeze time in my schedule to eat some days. I guess that technically I write more than I give myself credit for because of the work that I do. However I wish I could find time to really try some of these Goldberg tips. How do people get everything done? It seems almost unfair that you should have to pick one thing to be good at. I mean who has time to be practicing everything all the time?

It is truly a fantastic article from her book. Her writing flows great and it was stuffed with plenty of personal experiences and lessons that she has learned. And I enjoyed reading her various idea like putting a cigarette in your mouth in order to transform yourself into a different character. I had never thought of doing anything like that. Even with all of these great ideas and tricks I felt that reading Goldbergs advice honestly got a bit boring. Which she did warn about in the beginning. Who knows? Maybe ill try some of them out for my next portfolio.
Is this how the blog works? I recently read that sometimes a constant stream of consciousness is good on blogs.
